ABOUT ME

The person behind the strategy

I'm a Freelance Social Media Manager with a rich background in children's television and a genuine passion for family and kids brands. Twenty years in front of — and behind — the camera taught me everything about how to connect with families in a way that feels real, warm and trustworthy. Now I bring that same understanding to social media.

I've spent my career in children's media. Now I help family brands grow.

For seven and a half years I was part of the presenting team on Channel 5's Milkshake! — one of the UK's most loved preschool brands.

I presented The BAFTA nominated Milkshake Show, toured the country in theatre shows, and voiced characters in animations. It was the most brilliant, chaotic, joyful job — and it taught me everything about how to connect with families.

In 2010 I moved behind the camera. I spent years in production — as Associate Producer at Milkshake! and Production Manager on CBBC's Strange Hill High, and Channel 5's Winnie and Wilbur, CBeebies Happy Tent Tales, CBBC My Life: Hair at Home and the Royal Television Society award winning IRL with Team Charlene.

In 2019 I completed an Advanced Diploma in Strategic Social Media Marketing with Digital Mums and Square Eye Social was born. Everything I'd learned in nearly 20 years of children's TV — how to tell stories that resonate, how to capture attention, how to communicate in a way that makes families feel something — translated perfectly into social media strategy.

What sets me apart isn't just my knowledge of social media. It's that I understand your audience — parents and families — from the inside. I've spent my career creating content for and about them.

I'm also a proud mum to two children so I understand what parents need and want. Family life gives me a genuine, lived understanding of the audience I help brands speak to — and I wouldn't have it any other way.
